Set up IPTV on Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
The classic, ultra-reliable player for Samsung and LG Smart TVs. Upload your M3U playlist and UK EPG directly via siptv.app.

Before you start
- An LG or Samsung Smart TV connected to broadband
- Smart IPTV app installed on your television
- TV MAC Address displayed inside the app settings
- Your login details (Username, Password, Server URL) from your IPTV Provider UK WhatsApp message

Step-by-step setup
Step 1: Launch Smart IPTV on your TV
Open Smart IPTV from your TV apps screen. Your TV MAC address (e.g. a4:77:33:xx:xx:xx) will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
Step 2: Open the SIPTV web portal
On your phone or computer, visit the official playlist manager at https://siptv.app/mylist/.
Step 3: Clear any old playlists
Under the "Delete playlist" section, enter your TV MAC address and click Delete to ensure a clean setup.
Step 4: Upload your M3U Plus URL
Under "Upload playlist to Smart IPTV", enter your TV MAC address in the MAC field. Paste your complete M3U Plus URL (received on WhatsApp) into the "URL" field.
Step 5: Configure UK EPG & Save Online
In the EPG dropdown select "United Kingdom", check the "Save online" and "Detect EPG" checkboxes, and click "Send".
Step 6: Restart the app on your TV
Press the "0" key or "Reload" button on your TV remote. The app will load all UK channel groups, complete with EPG programme guide data.
Troubleshooting
Smart IPTV shows "Check playlist URL" error
This occurs if the M3U URL contains a typo or trailing space. Copy the exact link from your WhatsApp message. If using Virgin Media or BT, make sure Web Safe is turned off as it can block siptv.app uploads.
Channels buffer every few minutes
Press the Red or Blue button on your TV remote to open SIPTV Settings. Increase the "Stream Buffer" from Normal to "Large" (2000ms) for rock-solid 4K UHD streaming.
Smart IPTV is not in my Samsung Smart Hub
Samsung removed SIPTV from 2020+ UK Smart Hub models. For newer Samsung TVs, we recommend IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro instead.
Stream freezes or fails during live Saturday 3pm football matches
UK ISPs including Virgin Media, BT, and Sky enforce content filtering and security firewalls. In your Virgin Media online portal, turn off "Web Safe" (Virus Safe & Child Safe). On BT Home Hub, turn off "BT Web Protect". On Sky broadband, set "Sky Broadband Shield" to 18 or turn it off. Alternatively, set your router or device DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 (Google).
