Set up IPTV on IBO Player
The premier Smart TV app on Samsung Smart Hub and LG Content Store. Connect your playlist remotely via MAC address and Device Key.

Before you start
- Samsung or LG Smart TV connected to home internet
- IBO Player installed from the official TV app store
- Device MAC Address and Device Key displayed on your TV screen
- Your login details (Username, Password, Server URL) from your IPTV Provider UK WhatsApp message

Step-by-step setup
Step 1: Install IBO Player from TV App Store
On Samsung TV open Smart Hub › Apps; on LG TV open LG Content Store. Search for "IBO Player" and install it.
Step 2: Launch IBO Player and note your TV details
Open IBO Player. On the first screen you will see your "Device MAC Address" (e.g. 00:1a:79:xx:xx:xx) and a 6-digit "Device Key". Keep this screen open.
Step 3: Visit the IBO activation portal
On your smartphone or computer browser, go to https://iboplayer.com/device/login.
Step 4: Login with your MAC and Key
Enter your TV Device MAC and Device Key on the website and click "Login".
Step 5: Add your Xtream Codes playlist
Click "Add XC Playlist". Enter Playlist Name (e.g. "IPTV UK"), Username, Password, and Server URL from your WhatsApp message, then click Save.
Step 6: Reload the app on your TV
Return to your Samsung or LG TV and select "Reload" or restart IBO Player. Your UK channels, sports packages, and 4K VOD will appear immediately.
Troubleshooting
IBO Player says "Trial Expired" after 7 days
IBO Player offers a free 7-day trial, after which the app developers charge a small one-time lifetime license fee (~€8). If you prefer a 100% free app, contact our WhatsApp team and we can recommend free alternatives like IPTV Smarters or Bob Player.
Playlists do not update on the TV
Press the Red button on your remote to force a cache reload, or completely power cycle your TV (hold the remote power button for 5 seconds until the brand logo appears).
Stream freezes or fails during live Saturday 3pm football matches
UK ISPs including Virgin Media, BT, and Sky enforce content filtering and security firewalls. In your Virgin Media online portal, turn off "Web Safe" (Virus Safe & Child Safe). On BT Home Hub, turn off "BT Web Protect". On Sky broadband, set "Sky Broadband Shield" to 18 or turn it off. Alternatively, set your router or device DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 (Google).
My login credentials are not accepted
Check for typos in the Server URL, Username or Password (they are case-sensitive). Ensure there are no accidental spaces copied from WhatsApp. If it still fails, message us on WhatsApp and our 24/7 UK team will verify your account immediately.
